Since 1994 Bread & Porridge has offered its guests in Santa Monica traditionally prepared American food, elegantly presented in a friendly relaxed atmosphere.
Food here is “Californian”, but grounded in an American culinary tradition of wholesomeness and value. We are known for California comfort food, our hearty breakfasts and weekend brunch. Specialties include wild fish, pastas, BBQ beef brisket, meatloaf, and gourmet burgers.
We feature single vineyard and estate bottled wines selected from among the finest winemakers.

I absolutely LOVE Bread and Porridge. When I lived in Santa Monica, I went to breakfast at Bread and Porridge every weekend. Then I moved back to NYC. Now I live in Long Beach and my friends and I drive up to Santa Monica during the week just for breakfast. The service is amazing, the owner is super nice and I am in love with the Cream of Wheat!! I am addicted!
The breakfasts are simply the best in the city!
