Established in 1959 and located at 22045 Sherman Way in Canoga Park, Cavaretta's has provided great Italian food for many generations of customers. Featuring Boars Head Brand cold cuts, fresh bread, and produce cut daily, our sandwiches are the best around. The homemade meatball sandwich or sausage and pepper sandwich can't be beat. Then top it off with our authentic and delicious cannoli or one of many heavenly desserts. We also carry an amazing assortment of hard to find drinks and chips. One time in and you'll be hooked !

I have been going there since I've been a kid. Their cannoli is the bomb. The lasagna is sooo yummy and delicious. The service and staff is very down to earth and helpful.
Dave and Paul have always treated me kindly. A sandwich store is just that, but Cavaretta's is a big part of my family.
This is by far a fantastic place to go. I've been getting sandwiches there for at least five years and have always recomended it to all my friends. The atmosphere is very unique with the smell of homemade sauce and Italian actors' pictures everywhere. The one thing I like the most is that if your not totally satisfied or there was a problem with your order, they fix it..no questions asked. My favorite sandwich is the pepper turkey and provolone with pepperoncinis.
I have been eating at cavarettas for 40 years and ALWAYS get the most fresh and authentic sandwiches in the city.

I work nearby so our office orders here a lot. Their bread is hit or miss, oftentimes hard and stale. Meat portions are miniscule even though they recently raised their prices. Their staff is not very helpful either. Once, I stood at the register for 10 minutes while the staff walked right past, not even acknowledging my presence. I'm not quite sure if they are purposely attempting to create an "authentic" New York Italian Deli experience? I'll eat there in a pinch but it isn't my favorite.
Never has a sandwich been so mastered, so refined, so DELICIOUS! I get a large pastrami, everything and pepperchinis, cold. Nothing compares...this place makes subway, quiznos, togos and so on look like a JOKE! If you haven't been here, you haven't had a "sandwich". Seriously, give yourself a gift this season and stop by Cavs. OOO, they also have a great assortment of drinks...stuff you cant get anywhere else

I grew up going there and not only was everyone there always friendly and helpful, the food has always been good. When I'm in town I love to go there for the food and the atmosphere. The smell takes me home. =)
The best, real sub sandwich I have had since being back East...15 years ago. I wish they were open this minute so I could go get a sandwich.

I've been buying sandwiches from Cavaretta's since the 1970's. They always come through with the best. They make my special Pepperoncini Special perfect everytime. They also have the best products in Los Angeles. Paul and Dave, my hat's off to the both of you. Thanks.
The service staff is excellent. There is a wide variety of food all delicious. If you are not sure of what to get, they are knowledgable about their products and offer samples. The sandwiches and the food are the best and the value is beyond any other sandwich place in the area.
Always busy, but worth the wait - Quality food, friendly staff - Top value for your money.
