First opened in 1976 by the Supa Kuntee family. It was the second Thai restaurant in Los Angeles. The restaurant became an instant hit with lines of customers often waiting patiently outside to sample the "Exotic" taste of Thailand. As one of Los Angeles oldest Thai restaurants, Chao Krung has become well known in the community and it has been featured in the Los Angeles Times restaurant review several times. Chao Krung Restaurant is not only known for the authentic Thai cuisine, it's also well-known for the unique interior design.
