City Salon of Huntington Beach is happily situated two blocks up from the Pacific Ocean; the newest City Salon location is home to some of Orange County's hottest and most sought after hairstylists, estheticians, and makeup artists. It recently opened in 2008 to rave reviews from locals and Huntington Beach's growing tourist community.
"We are going for a clean, beautiful theme in this new location," says Diana Gilliard, co-owner of City Salon. "Locals take their inspiration from the amazing beaches that are just down the street, and we wanted to take our inspiration from the locals and the community that have drawn us here and made us feel so welcome."
Located in the heart of downtown Huntington Beach, the newest City Salon is a gorgeous, fresh, and beautiful location brought to you by the team who started the original City Salon and Spa of Athens, GA in 1999 and the first City Salon by Michelle Coulter in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, GA in 1998.
The team is thrilled to see this new location open and looking so beautiful. "We are so happy with the talent that we have been able to attract and look forward to building our team further in the future," quips Michelle Coulter, co-owner. "We are an education-based salon first and foremost, and we also lean heavily toward involvement in photoshoots." Doug Coulter, Michelle's husband, is a photographer out of the Atlanta area whose work with models over the years has produced the work that you see on the City Salon website and throughout all three of the salon locations. Onlookers of the City Salon imagery can look forward to seeing images that are downtown Huntington Beach based. "We are getting ready to host our first photo shoot event; we are going to use the pier as a background and really place the models with a totally recognizable feature of our new community."
City Salon is the best salon In Huntington Beach!!! I would recommend Jenny McMahan!!!! I was referred to her by a coworker who loves her. I am a picky blonde and she mastered my color the first time. To top off my great experience I was given a glass of wine and an awesome scalp massage!

It is hard to trust someone new with your hair,I had a great experience here,and my hair looks great! Janny did my hair,and it suits me well,other people have noticed the difference. She took extra time to really get it right,and make sure it was perfect.Then,she even called me a few days later to make sure I was still happy with it-talk about customer service!

My stylists name was Janny,and she did such an awesome job on my hair-I dont think the color has ever looked better. I have already gotten so many compliments! Noone else has gotten it quite right,but she defiitely knows her stuff!Everyone in the salon was so nice,-it is a great atmosphere,very modern,and unique-oh one more thing,she gave me a hand and arm massage while I was there for free,this place is the best!
