Located in the hip and welcoming Silver Lake area of Los Angeles, Comfort Cafe serves delicious and imaginative takes on classic American dishes. Started by Jackie Joniec in 2004, the Cafe has become a fixture in the neighborhood, and has broadened its ventures into catering, picnic baskets to-go, live entertainment throughout the month, and as a launch pad for "The Next Food Network Star" finalist, Reggie Southerland.

To my way of thinking, the food is excellent, the quantity is over the top, and the price is right. Good service and pleasant, willing to help servers. What more can you ask for? Really great choice of food and different for a change for a cafe. Try it, you'll like it.

Fresh food that tastes unbelievably good. Usually 'healthy' and 'tasty' don't go so well together, but these guys do it great. Perfect idea: purchase a whole meal and take it home, 'cause it tastes home-made!

I think Steven is the best server and when you come in either Steven or Jackie will always remember you by name. In a big, sometimes unfriendly Los Angeles, it has that little feeling of "the country store".
Not only does Jackie give free Wi-Fi, there is also an electrical outlet for your laptop charger at almost ever table. Members of the gym get 10% off. Best healthy breakfast and lunch in L.A. This is definitely one of L.A.'s little known secrets. On a scale of 1-10 this is a 20!
