The Duke of Bourbon is a family-operated retail wine and spirits enterprise established in 1967 in the West San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, California. Specializing in personalized service, we offer a carefully selected collection of unique and rare California wines as well as a fine selection of French, Italian and other world-class wines. After 40 years, we continue to strive for creativity, great selection and personalized service. Through our unique ability to judge the components that determine the difference between nice wines and exceptional wines, we are fortunate to find many superb wines of limited production that have great appeal for discriminating wine enthusiasts and collectors. In fact, quite often, the wineries that are in the know seek us out... they want to be among the elite that "gather at the Duke."

Having purchased a lot of wine over a lot of years I realize that there are many knowledgeable and personable people selling wine in Southern California. But the Duke has assembled a staff SECOND TO NONE. John, Doug, Steve, Val, Darryl and, of course, David know their stuff. They are always ready to answer questions, offer advice or share a story. Customers are treated as friends not just buyers. The Duke’s tasting seminars are tremendous featuring some of the top names in the wine industry and great wines from around the world. These tastings have given my wife and I the opportunity to taste wines which otherwise would have been unavailable to us. Thank you David, Judy and staff for providing a comfortable wine buying home.

I've been buying from "The Duke" since 1990 and have never been disappointed in their wine recommendations.
when you consider the Duke's longevity and his close relationships with just California wine producers he also has good imports) it is quite easy to argue that this place has been instrumental in bringing California wine to it's present state of popularity with the consumer. It's not just a retail shop it is a connection to California wine. Also, it's not just the high-priced stuff for the experienced and big spenders, it's great examples from all areas at all prices.
I belong to many wine clubs, but the Duke always seems to have those wines that you can't get anywhere else, and at great special pricings.

The Duke is definitely number one with me. Everyone including David knows me and my tastes in wine. They make recommendations based on that knowledge. Their seminars give me in person exposure to top wine makers. I'm treated like family, not just a paying customer. Prices are very fair, selection is broad, and they have wines you absolutely can't get anywhere else.
