At the Edison we experience the New Historic LA. Hand-crafted cocktails and the majestic relics of a long lost era of glamour and intrigue mark The Edison as one of the nation's most unique lounge spaces. A blend of the past, present, and future, The Edison inspires the nostalgia of such legendary nightspots as The Cocoanut Grove and Ciro's while reminding us that we live in a City of dreams and at a time of great invention.
Thought this place would be pretentious when I went to their website and read the dress code, but they're actually really relaxed. Took a friend here for her birthday; the food was amazing. I tend to avoid "trendy" places like the plague, but this place was great. Simultaneously cool and geeky. Dig the constant loops of old films on the wall, especially the Georges Melies films!
Great martinis and really cool space
The Edison will leave you wanting to come back every weekend. A very stylish trip back to the 20's offers amazing drinks, fun entertainment and may I suggest having Tesla's Revenge when you visit

There is NOTHING like this place in L.A. or anywhere for that matter. Awesome when you walk in but, Holy Crap, when you go down the stairs you will be dumb-struck by the majesty and then pleased by its intimacy. Friendly bartenders, tasty and well-priced cocktail (love the beer selections on tap). Bring friends and chill the night away!!!
finally we have an elegant place in DownTown LA. Great atmosphere, it takes you back in time to the 20's and 40's era, but yet it's modern, clean and hip.
Great place to hang out, excellent drinks, and yummy food.
Even though drinks are a little pricey.. this bar is a total experience on its own. The way its decorated and the themes of it makes you feel as if you have stepped back in time to the 30s. Awesome.. everyone needs to go at least once.
