Fitness Concepts is a personal training company consisting of many talented and caring individual trainers dedicated to get their prospective clients the maximum results through proper training, nutrition and supplementation. Fitness Concepts was founded on February 15, 1999. Since then we have helped 5835 and counting clients improve the quality of their life. What do we mean by quality of life? Well I wasn't sure if personal training was for me. I was skeptical. I have been training now for about 10 years and looked good but never got the results I fuuly wanted. I had heard some good things at a party from some buddies of mine and figured I would give it a try. I did have anything to lose with a money back guarantee. I talked to Sam and he really laid down the lines about my diet. He said if I wanted results and fast I would have to modify my diet to get results. He invited me to his Nutritional Seminar. THAT was awesome!! I really set my goals there and he taught us how to do that. I am gratreful to Sam and my trainer for pushing me the extra mile I could have never gone by my self. I love Fitness Concepts, Everyone there (trainers and clients) encourage you everytime you walk in the door. I've lost about 22lbs in 7wks. Sam and his professional trainers are always available to answer questions or concerns you have. Being a "big" girl, I hated going to the gym, because of all the "skinny" people staring at me I felt like at any moment they where going to harpoon me...(I know it sounds funny but that's how I felt) Now I love going to the gym... I worked out with Fitness Concepts way back when my son was barely two years old!! Now 8 years later and 2 babies later I am looking forward to getting back to shape!! My trainer from 8 eight years ago, Steve, is back at Fitness Concepts. That is so cool to see all the same people like Johnette & Sam (and their new baby Bailee), Armando etc. I read a testimonial about how this gyms is like the 'Cheers' of a Gym. Because there is always someone there to greet you by name and familiar faces!! I have ran into people here from High School LOL as well as wonderful people I havent seen in years!! Truly Fitness Concepts is touching people's lives!! It has totally touched mine!! Sam and his staff were awesome!! It is terrific to see that my trainer is still here after so many years. Gosh all the trainers are so friendly.......the ones who always greet me by name are Maria, Chad, Randy, Wilson, Israel, and gosh the others smile and say 'hi'.......but these peeps are top. Of course sometimes someone somewhere out there may have a bad day but 99.99% is ok too......But that is ok I am proud to say that I am a part of Fitness Concepts.
As of September 2008, I have lost a total of 65 pounds and fit in a size two jeans and a size small blouse! People do not recognize me and are constantly asking me how I did it. For years (since my 20’s), I dreamed of feeling and looking like this.
It took patience, will power and motivation to stay on track. With all of this energy and endurance, I am already setting new goals for myself. As a result, nutrition and exercise have become a permanent part of my life. For the first time in my life, I enjoy exercising.
Now, one year later, I have lost a total of 115 pounds. My blood pressure averages 80/60, my cholesterol count has improved and my current body fat is 19 percent. I work out three times a week and use the time to alleviate stress and reflect on my day.

It all started in late July, 2008 when I took a look at the pictures of my son's wedding a year earlier. I couldn't believe that I was, and looked, that heavy. I was not a novice at working out, as I belonged to another local gym and worked out on a fairly regular basis. As I gained weight, I thought that if I ate less frequently, I would lose weight. The problem was, I limited the times I ate, but what I ate, and how much, was a major problem. Being single and not wanting to cook that often, I ended up at Carl's Jr., In N Out, Jack in the Box, etc. for my one or two meals a day. I also drank plenty of regular soda and ate other "junk" food. No matter how much I worked out, I continued to gain weight. I weighed 250 pounds, had high blood pressure and was on three medications.
Finally, I decided to make a commitment to my health. I came in, met with you and you gave me a realistic plan to get in shape and lose weight. First, it was a nutrition program that called for a change in the way that I ate. Instead of one or two meals a day, I was to eat four or five smaller meals. Also, I met with a Fitness Concepts personal trainer three days per week. First Jacob and now Nicole tailored a fitness program for me and provided motivation. Armando kept me honest. You said to not expect miracles, but that I should expect to lose one pound per week. I didn't have to starve myself and could eat most of my favorite foods including, chicken, turkey, steak, salad and vegetables. I just followed your plan.
To my amazement, the pounds started melting away. The eating plan became second nature and by the end of the year, I had reached my original goal of losing 50 pounds and 17% body fat. In December, I had my annual physical and my doctor couldn't believe the positive change in my lab results. I have now incorporated fruit, brown rice. potatoes and whole wheat pasta into my diet. Since the first of the year, I have lost an additional 15 pounds and am currently at a healthy 185 pounds.

I started working out at Fitness Concepts about 6 months ago. When I started I weighed 157 pounds and was a size 8-10 depending on the clothes. My body fat percentage was 25.9. About three years ago I had lost about 35 pounds that I was holding on to after having 2 kids. I was feeling good about my weight again until after baby number 3. I thought I would be able to get all the weight off again but it was a lot harder this time. When you have kids it is hard to make time to workout or eat right. I decided to come to Fitness Concepts when I found out my husband was going to Texas for work for a long time. I decided it was time to do something for myself. I did my first trial workout with Maria and felt awesome afterwards. I decided right then I was going to make the commitment to get back in shape. I have always been athletic playing soccer all my life so I was hoping I would see results fast. Sure enough I did. Maria made working out fun. She switched up my workout so I wouldn't get bored. I did my best to never miss a workout but if I did I always rescheduled. Now that my time is almost up I am so happy with the results. I have lost a little over 20 pounds, 12 inches, and my body fat percentage is now 18.7%. I am currently a size 4. My ultimate goal is to continue with my workouts and my eating so I can maintain my weight. I feel so much better about myself and I have so much more energy. I would say to anyone that wanted to get back into shape to go to Fitness Concepts. You won't be sorry you did.
