Gallery 33 East was established in February of 2003 and is the culmination of a life-long dream of owner/artist, Michael Stearns. In the beginning Stearns opened the site as a studio where he could have space to paint. It did not take long before artists began asking to use the space for exhibitions; and, as they say, “The rest is history.” Stearns soon found out that the city of Long Beach not only wanted a quality fine art gallery but needed one. It was decided in 2006 that the gallery had outgrown its space and in February Gallery 33 East was moved to a much larger site where it now enjoys spacious rooms to hang more paintings.

they always have great exhibits I'm impressed every time I go to an opening and see something new. Such a beautiful place to see art.
