It's been more that 30 years since my dad Carlos Montesdeoca, the Montesdeoca behind The Union Restaurant at 10319 Venice blvd in Culver city, mortgaged his home to buy a little neighborhood Cuban restaurant in 1974 corner of Venice and Motor avenue. (there is a surplus store now) where my mom Isabel Montesdeoca , brother Ramon Gomez and my aunt Margo Falcon where the cooks. The restaurant was a sizzling success so they move next door to 10319 Venice boulevard a year later.

Outstanding food, great music, the ultimate mojito and best pork day ever. We try every Cuban restaurant once, but we keep coming back to Havana Mania!!!

I go to their second location in Brea all the time. The service is fantastic and the food is unbelievably good. This place is one of best in southern California for Cuban food. I recommend trying the Picadillo A la Cubana, the Chicharrones De Pollo, and the Zarzuela De Mariscos. But my absolute must have is the fried plantains.
