In July 11, 1922, with the audience seated on simple wooden benches placed on the natural hillsides of Bolton Canyon, conductor Alfred Hertz and the Los Angeles Philharmonic inaugurated the first season of music under the stars at the Hollywood Bowl. While much has changed in the ensuing years, the tradition of presenting the world's greatest musicians and striving for musical excellence has remained a constant goal of this famed Los Angeles cultural landmark.

The bowl only greats better with age. What a wonderful place to go during the summer or any time.
Every seat is amazing, never had a bad time or any problems there. And the most amazing shows!!!

By far the best concert venue in the LA area . If you wanna hear a great show (even in the back row) go here!!
I love being able to eat and drink at our seats . . the benches are comfy, and the venue is spectacular. And I love that the Bowl has a great restaurant there. I also really appreciate the shuttle service . . parking can be such a pain!! But it's so much easier taking the shuttle.
This has to be one of the BEST places to see a concert during the summer months. What better place can you listen to amazing music while looking up at the stars and eating a yummy picnic with a bottle of wine to drink? I can't think of any. This is definitely one of those LA places to experience no matter if you're a native to the area or just visiting.
Only venue that allows concert goers to bring in their own picnic baskets, wine, seat cushions, etc. Can also purchase at their box office to avoid Ticketbasterd fees.
NOTHING can surpass the Hollywood Bowl for the impeccable evening. We attend regularly. Where else would you have crowds with a standing ovation for Rufus Wainwright performing Judy Garland in drag? LA, experience your reality!
