Imix Bookstore has been at our current location for three years now. We feel privileged to be part of this diverse community. Our goal is to provide a balancing point of view in our socially-conscious reading material, apparel, and artworks. We also provide access to the more lighthearted items, or "chucherias" found in more traditional Chicano and Latino homes.

where else can you find a children's book titled why war is never a bad idea by alice walker... and a fabulous documentary book about immigration by ruben martinez... along side collections by howard zinn and mike davis... and magnificent fiction titles such as esperanza's box of saints... don't forget your dose of octavia butler and pick up revolutionary t-shirts and business card holders... then, while the beautiful elisa rings up your order, take in the art work... one of my favorite places to be.
This bookstore is so full of creative and cultural energy, we lack stores in general like this one in los Angeles.
