J9's K9s is a dog training school in Southern California. Owner, Janine Pierce, and the J9's K9s crew are passionate in their belief that DOG TRAINING IS FUN!
J9's K9s offers motivational, reward-based training for humans and dogs of all ages. Group classes range from Puppy Head Start for pups 7-16 weeks to Advanced Obedience, Agility, Canine Good Citizen, and even specialty classes such as Street Smarts, Rocket Recall and an annual training summer camp, "Camp Waggin' Tails".
Group classes are held in Canoga Park, Granada Hills and Van Nuys. Private lessons are also available either at our indoor facility in Canoga Park or in-home. J9's K9s specializes in basic-advanced obedience, problem-solving and behavior modification for aggression, anxiety, fears, phobias and other behavioral challenges.

Learn While You Play at J9's K9s!
My dog has taken 4 classes from J9 K9's and together we have learned so much. I live about a 1/2 hour away, and even though I have dog training classes in my city, J9 K9's is by far the best and worth the little drive. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable. My dog enjoyed each class and I feel today he is an obedient canine because of the training I have learned and continue to use at J9 K9's!

the trainers really know how to read the dog. they take into account all of the different personalities, so you don't have to worry about conflict during a group class. You can contact them anytime if you have any questions, whether you are currently enrolled in a class or not.
I was skeptical that the reward based training they do here would work with my 3 year old Pit Bull, but these people proved me wrong. They helped me turn my boy into an ambassador for the breed.
Having owned many difficult dogs over the years, I have consulted with several different trainers in the past. Not one has ever come close to the level of expertise and experience that Janine, the owner of J9's K9s, possesses. I knew the moment I sat down with her that this was someone who could help me, and in turn, help my dog. Since that first series of private lessons I have taken many group classes with this company and I continue to be impressed and inspired. Couldn't recommend them more highly!
J9's K9s has super enthusiastice trainers and great, sound, helpful advice for people and dogs participating in classes. A great many different types of training classes are offered in more than one location. The classes are always very positive for both dogs and people.

10 years ago I moved to LA with my new pup and when problems started to arise, I was given several recommendations for trainers. I attended 2 different classes given by 2 separate trainers and then had another trainer come out for private lessons. The results were not only hugely disappointing, but my pup began to develop severe fear aggression issues caused by their confrontational methods. I was then referred to Janine Pierce of J9's K9s and all I can say is that I know that I never would have the dog I have now had it not been for her. In a city of so-called dog training experts, Janine is the real deal.
