We came here for brunch and it was fun!! the dancers are cool! My daughter got on stage and danced with the dancers. It was the best brunch ever!!! Great food!!!!!!
love that they have a new menu at the former Sam's the sunday brunch is awesome!
Man...I rememeber driving through here and seeing this giant swordfish sign and I knew I had to try it. Now, the new and improved Kona has a ten dollar three to four course Sunset Menu, a new owner, great service, and frequent live music. The Baja Sole fish and chips was fantastic, along with the calamari and sweet potato fries. The menu is very diverse, from fish to burgers and salads to sliders. Good find.
My family had the pleasure of eating at Kona last weekend. We had a great time. All of our food was delicious. My husband had the seabass and I enjoyed the salmon, both were so fresh & perfectly prepared. If you like calamari you have to try it, it was calamari filet (no rings or tentacles!) very tasty and tender. Great drinks, try the mai tais. I will be back to try the burgers soon. The new owners are definitely doing things right.
This is the old Sam's Seafood. The new owner told me he took it over in January. Lower prices, better selections, and killer Sunset Dinners at 10.95! Quality and portion sizes have really changed for the better. Live classic rock that drew a large local crowd in the Tiki bar. This is the best kept secret in H.B. and even Seal Beach.
