My cancer awareness group met there, it was a wonderful experience for us all, there was no rush it was a very relaxed atmosphere with African American history and memorabilia, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. I will go back.

I was treated to Lady Effie's on yesterday by a friend and I was so delighted! It was my first experience there and a very delightful one! I highly recommend Lady Effie for sophistication, good service and a relaxed atmosphere, plus much more.

I believe such historical sites should be preserved at all cost. South Los Angeles needs more sites such as this one.

Our Professional Resource Network group met there for tea and it was GREAT! The house is beautiful- full of mementos of African American life in Los Angeles from at LEAST 50 years ago...We will be back!
