Talofa! My name is Roy Taoleiumu Asuega of Samoan descent. I have been in the entertainment business for about 23 years. I started off as a dancer and eventually worked my way to become a well rounded musician of the drums, ukelele and guitar. I have had the opportunity to travel the United States as well. I have also dipped my hand in the film business and was fortunate to be on television shows and movies such as "Saved By The Bell", "The Flintsones", "Demolition Man" and Will Smith's music video "Gettin' Jiggy With It".

Lokelani's Rocks!!!!
i LOVE ROTI ! !
I started dancing with Lokelani's in 1997. There is no better place! At Lokelani's you are treated like family no matter if you have been dancing there for years or a matter of days. I still dance there, but now I have my two young children joining me as well. I wouldn't take them anywhere else! We love you Uncle Roy and Auntie Kathy!!!! Love, Alisha
Auntie Kathy and Uncle Roy are good role models for our kids. They teach everyone how to help out no matter what.Everyone loves what they do for all the dancers and there families. We all have fun, they are an awesome group to perform with! They treat every dancer as there own!!!

Go ROTI!
I danced with Lokelani's aka ROTI from December 1996 through July 2004. What a ride! I can proudly say that now my daughter and two of my three granddaughters dance for Auntie Kathy and Uncle Roy! I do miss Roy's ukelele strumming, da drumming, da voice and all of Kathy's great choreography. Much love, Jeanette

I have been dancing with Lokelani's since I was 9 and I have danced with other studios but Lokelani's is the best. Aunty Kathy and Uncle Roy do such a wonderful job of teaching us. They treat us not just like a dance group, but a family with a great amount of respect.

i absolutely love dancing for Lokelani's ROTI!!! I've been dancing there since i was about 7 years old and i couldn't imagine dancing for anyone else but Auntie Kathy and Uncle Roy (aka Mama and Papa). Best dance studio ever :)
I have danced with this group a few years before I moved to San Diego for college and a day does not go by that I do not think of them!! Besides the beautiful choreography by Kathy, the melodic drum beats, and Roy's heavenly voice I miss the family & love they present to everyone. They are truely a blue print of what dance groups should be!
Lokelani's is an AMAZING studio to dance for. I love how welcoming the place is and how everyone is treated like a member of the family. It feels extremely satisfying when performing for an audience, and I can't explain how incredible it feels to dance a hula. Lokelani’s also prides itself on how versatile it is. You can find boys and girls of all ages dancing Tahitian, Maori, Samoan, and Hawaiian styles.
Lokelanis studios teaches those who are are interested in learning the culture of the south pacific. They take great pride in what they do and are very family oriented. A fun and wonderful place to meet new people. your never too old to "Shake that thing!"
