Mixed Nuts Comedy opened its doors in January of 1998 on Pico Blvd after a test run of Comedy showcase held at the El Rey Theatre in December 1995. It was co-hosted by Dorothy Lucey of Fox Good Day LA. Mixed Nuts Comedy was founded by Mr. Benwikere to provide a venue for African Americans and Latino Comics to work out and showcase their talent. As L.A.'s only Multicultural Comedy club, Mixed Nuts welcomes comics and audience from all ethnic backgrounds.
