For years “Mommie” Helen Williams blessed her family and her community with her baking secrets she brought with her to California from Texarkana, Texas. This baking tradition is carried on in Helen's daughter Dorothy Pryor Rose who felt a calling to serve her community through a neighborhood bakery, using her mother's 60 year fold secret family recipes…and Mommie Helen's Bakery was born. Today, the goodness baked at Mommie Helen's Bakery is enjoyed across the country and as far away as China, Japan, France, England, Senegal and Brazil…with every pie still leaving the oven here in Colton, California.
Mommie Helen's Bakery has the best peach cobbler around. Everyone in my family requests it, and my family goes as far as Compton, to Louisiana! There isn't anyone I've talked to who hasn't heard of Mommie Helen's Bakery and thought that it was awful.
Their Red Velvet Cake w/Cream Cheese frosting is just divine!! They also make the best cobblers and cookies, in fact the closest to my Mom's and Gramma's that I have ever found! And large orders welcome.We Love Em!
