I'm form Chi, and the real deal is the Italian beef/Sausage Combo!!
I'll drive up from Hunt. Bch, order the combo, and on the way out get 2lb of beef & gravy, sweet peppers, and a couple loaves of their french bread.
Now I can have Portillo's right in my own home!!

Simply the best Chicago dinning experience in the OC. Love the Beef, dogs, but the Italian Sausage is the best hands down.

Ok would be saying to much . The hot dogs are small (mine was cold ) and very little taste (good thing for mustard and ketchup )
After you place your order (with someone who could care less ) you have to pick up your hot food from one place ,your drinks somewhere else and of course your sald from another location oh yea and last if you want dessert you have to once again go to another location . Way to much for us . We will maybe be back when they make it easy and the food gets better .

The best hot dog out there in the U.S. I used to think Pink's was the best until I had the Portillo Dog. Besides that the beef and cheddar croissant wet dipped with hot peppers is off the hook! Wash it down with cheese fries and a strawberry shortcake and it might be time to kick the bucket because your life is complete!

OMG, imagine my surprise upon learning that I could get that same Italian Beef sandwich, dipped of course, like I had in Chicago 3 years ago! And guess what? Just as yummy, but without the arctic chill of a flight to Chicago in March!!!

What, you don't like Italian? They have many other options to choose from...but, I have to agree with the other reviewer about the hot dog. It was just okay. Not nearly as tasty as the ones I had back in "C" town!

Oh, and if you are craving chocolate, their lil' slice of chocolate cake can hit the spot.

I've had dogs in Chicago and this place is not that good. Everything we had there was lacking in taste, except the Onion Rings. A "Chicago Dog" at Wienerschnitzel is better.
