Sandpiper Lounge, (aka The Dirty Bird) was established in 1942 by a small local family, the Harrells. Today, the same family still runs this World Famous bar. After 65 years this classic dive bar hasn't changed a bit; it's still dark, a little musty, and lit by only the glow of red candles, and a few strands of Christmas lights. Bands start at 9:30 and play until half past one… 7 NIGHTS A WEEK/365 days a year… The drinks are as stiff as the rules ~That's a joke. But really… the drinks are pretty stiff so you'll get your moneys worth: 4 SECOND POURS... Well drinks start at $5.50, up to the topshelf... We hope to see you soon.

True dive bar...dirty and nasty, but great live music and fun crowd.
it just doesn't get any better than the 'dirty bird'! if you changed anything (just one little thing) about it, it wouldn't work. this is a time honored hang out that is not only comfortable and safe (for you single women), but they have some of the best reggae music in south OC!

If you want to go to a place where you can be 21 or 91 years old, The Dirty Bird is it. And whether you've been there 3 times or 30, you're gonna be remembered. It's just that kinda place. It's local and fun. Kinda like Cheers.

Wow, I cant believe Im the first comment! This place is the best...Reggae on Thursdays is the best. You've got to check it out.
