Outstanding staff, actually the very best in OC. Customer service is comparable to a 5 star hotel. Sean and TJ are awesome.

I've purchased 4 bikes there. The service I received was great every time. The employees of the shop are truly passionate about what they do and it shows.
It's a great store to shop at. Everyone there is very knowledgeable in bicycling and accessories.They would rather have you as a satisfied customer on a less expensive bike then on the latest and greatest most expensive bike in the store.
I'll admit I expect more out of a bike shop than most, but I was clear with SCC that I was looking for a "relationship" bike shop. My first job was done weeks late, and although it was finished I needed to go see them to find that out - they never called me as promised. Then, "suddenly" they needed my bike out of their overcrowded repair shop. It's the type of shop which will try to upsell you $30 foofy handlebar tape instead of the $3 cloth tape I really wanted. Ugggg. To SCC, I was just another piece of meat with money. My relationship status with SCC? They're my "ex".
The ENTIRE staff at SCC is knowledgeable, helpful and professional. Regardless of what I need they take care of it 100%. I haven't seen a more organized or cleaner bike shop....anywhere. 2 new SL2's=$$$$, Accessories=$$, Clothing=$$, staff and shop=PRICELESS!
Surf City is the best bike shop I have EVER dealt with in 20 years of cycling. Sean has built, not only a fantastic shop, but a great staff as well. I've bought 4 bikes already and wouldn't go anywhere else.
Sean and the entire staff have always been friendly and helpful whether buying tubes or high end wheelsets. Thier service department is fast and reliable. Sean really goes the extra mile to make sure you are a satisfied customer.

My husband purchased a set of Mavic wheels from Surf City. We were both impressed with the exceptional customer service. We dealt with the GM and he personally took care of us and answered all our questions. Other stores you would not even have an opportunity to talk with a GM! Great store and staff!
We went in just to browse, 15 minutes before the store closed. We never gave Chris an indication that we were ready to purchase our first mountain bikes. For all he knew we were just a couple of Freds killing time. We were the first to notice that the store was actually closing - and he never gave us the impression that he was ready to leave for the night. He answered all of our questions knowledgeably as he is an experienced rider himself . They stayed open an extra 45mins to allow us to test ride two models. In the end, we bought two bikes !!!! And we would do it again if we won the Lotto.
BTW - they have really clean bathrooms.

Surf City has the best courteous staff I have ever dealt with in my 25 yours of riding. They make sure you are "one happy customer." Nice clean store layout and great service technicians. These guys are riders not just salesmen. After sale service and followups are the norm with these folks.
Great bike store. I have bought three bikes there. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The selection of accessories is great as well.
Really great shop for any level of cyclist. Been shopping there since it opened almost 2 years ago and it just keeps getting better and better. Sean, TJ, and Mike, and Candy in Service are great guys and help my wife and I out any time we need it. Love the shop guys! Keep up the good work!

Surf City is a place to find great bikes, a wide range of parts, quality gear and clothes, but most of all they are a nice bunch of people who are into bikes. A friendly spot for the experience rider to the neophyte just getting started.
Best bike shop I've ever been in. Great, attentive staff, huge store with awesome selection. You really gotta go check this place out!
Amazing selection of highend....we go there to look and to shop....great staff and expert fitting.
