Our two owners, Tsutomu and Dai, are both well trained and knowledgeable sushi chefs with a combined 30 years of restaurant experience. They are committed to serving the best sushi possible, using the best available fish and authentic ingredients in order to establish Sushi Murasaki as the best restaurant of its kind in Orange County. Sushi, in essence, is a very simple Japanese cuisine composed of limited ingredients including fish, wasabi (Japanese horseradish), and shari (sushi rice). Because of this the freshness of the fish, how the rice is cooked, mixture of vinegar and size of the shari are very important in making sushi of the quality and taste found in Japan. It is through our 30 years of preparing these dishes that we are able to offer you sushi as it was intended.

Murasaki has some of the most AMAZING sushi my wife and I have ever experienced. I do not mean to build it up as much as I have by that statement, but it was. The freshness of the fish is evident from the first bite, from Japanese halibut to their unprecedented Toro, it was, as the friend who introduced me to the restaurant, "THE best tasting sushi."

Be prepared to spend money, this is not Todai pull your sushi off the floating plate kind of sushi, but it is worth every penny.
