Celebrating 80 years. Originally opened in 1927 in downtown LA, with the present location opening in 1962, it still continues to be a family affair. Family style service has given way to private booths, but Taix French restaurant remains faithful to the famed tureen of soup, French bread, and abundant portions of French country cuisine at affordable prices. Taix Restaurant is proud of its vintage staff; many can boast of serving more than three generations. We look forward to serving you and your family for many generations to come.

They have VERY GOOD food and everyone is very nice. I belong to quite a few clubs and 2 of them have their Installations there.

The best lamb chops I've ever had. Nice sized portions. The look of the ol' time steakhouse (don't see many of those anymore) Quiet enough where you can talk with people at your table and actually hear one another! And Jill Lembke is the best restaurant Manager I've ever known!!! She knows how to make your dining experience special!!
Spectacular food, excellent presentation, good friendly service, full bar, and best of all affordable prices. Great atmosphere and great people, perfect for a romantic date or a casual night out on the town. For you wine lovers, the wine list and the prices are one of LAs best kept secrets. The 321 lounge is always somewhere to go. Their escargot is great in quantity and abundant in quality. Escargot and clam chowder on Friday's is the way to go! No doubt.

You can always count on Taix for very tasty food, good service, a nice atmosphere and excellent value. Tasty French food without the sting of very high prices. This is a great place for dining with friends, family or even a private banquet for a special occasion.
