The Athletic Garage opened it's doors in November 1999. Since then it has been a rising star in the Pasadena Community. We offer classes for both the beginner and the more experienced dancer; people who want stay fit and the ones who want to get fit. We are a studio for the community. A place where families can dance and get fit together; mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, grandparents and grandkids.We have classes for everyone! We feature some of the most regarded instructors & choreographers in the Los Angeles area. What better way to get and stay fit then do it through dance? We provide a new approach to fitness for people who choose to live a healthier lifestyle and want to have fun doing it. We invite you to experience the energy and endless spirit that is the Athletic Garage.

Not only Do they Have truly Amazing choreographers with the skills to match their passion and love for Dance but that studio provides a wide variety of "Body Work" activities ranging from gymnastics training, personal fitness training, Ballet, HipHop, Jazz, Salsa, Cardio Classes and the list goes on and on. I am amazed as to how many classes they Offer. I am never disappointed and have made the Athletic Garage a major part of my weekly workout plans. I feel at Home there. Hope to see you too! I love this studio! I couldn't have found a better studio or owner to work for! I want everyone to experience it once! I can guarantee they will fall in love with the studio, the choreographers, the people who go there, the owner. It's unique, inviting and way too much fun! Seriously. Check it out! I'm a professional dancer and have danced at and taken classes at most major studios throughout the Los Angeles County and the Athletic Garage has the best sound system and Dance Floor anywhere. Not to mention it has a very welcoming/Hometown kinda vibe. Everyone there from staff members to the clientele/people that take classes there are friendly and very encouraging. Its almost like a family. The owner, Sandy Portaoro, has definitely created this vibe and it works well. I am Proud to vote for this Studio!
The Athletic Garage is a second home to all of its dancers. The studio has the most talented and energetic choreographers, it has the best facilities and location, and above all, the dancers are all part of the AG Family.
Having been born in raised in Los Angeles, and an avid dancer, I have been to many different dance studios in my life. The Athletic Garage not only guaranteed me the technique and high skill I was looking for, but the comfort and positive environment is what keeps me and others coming back for years. This place simply rocks!
It is such an amazing studio that feels like family more than a dance studio. I think that everyone should at least try a dance class once... you'll want to stay!

It's a great atmosphere -like a dance family without all the industry hype - and has great, experienced instructors who can take you all the way!
What caught my attention was the organization giving back to the youth in the community in a way that would build strong minds to be discipline, leaders and most of all how to stay focus on a commitment and follow thought to the end.
Always new and fresh! The instructors are working professionals who bring their cutting edge experience to every class. It's so exciting and fun to take classes there. Clearly the best in the area!
