The First Page was founded in 2002 with the intent to provide the local community with a new and much improved source of quality and unique reading material for children, in a child-friendly, community atmosphere which includes special events such as visiting authors, storytime, and creative activities. With the purpose of providing the finest in children's literature, we carry only hand selected titles from large, small and independent publishers. In addition, we organize our sections by age group and display the majority of our books face-out so you can see the cover - all for easy shopping. In addition to books, we stock a wide variety of specialized complementary and/or educational toy and gift items. Examples of our non-book merchandise include book character dolls, such as Madeline and Curious George, science projects in a bottle, flower-press kits, journals, clothing, puzzles, and travel activities. The First Page is very active in the community. Our stores give 5% of every purchase to the school of the customer's choice. Additionally, we provide quality book fairs, school author events, required reading and school lists. Teachers receive a 10% discount everyday.
