as an avid mountain bike rider since the '80s, I have found The Path to be an awesome resource for not only the latest equipment, but hard to find parts for the various project bikes I've built. The staff is very knowlegable, well informed and bring first-hand experience on bikes, components and riding gear. I recommend the Path to anyone from pro Downhill racers to first-time trail riders.
Tani and the boys really have their stuff together. Great advise, courteous staff and the parts selection is amazing on 29er goods.

The Path Bike Shop is the best ever!
the path bike shop is by far the most legitimate bike shop in history, great service, great sales, always has everything either in stock or on order cheaper then everywhere else, otherwise they price match for the most part! its the bomb!
This is, by far, the best bike shop I've ever seen! They have the greatest selection. The Path isn't one of these shops that specialized in one aspect of cycling and stock only road parts, cross-country parts, downhill parts, etc. No, they stock them all, and have an amazing depth and breadth of items to choose from, no matter what type of riding you plan on doing.
The service is second to none, and the guys and girls there are happy to jump through hoops in order to get you back on your bike as soon as they can. I cannot tell you how many times I have taken my bike to other shops, right before a race, and I had to miss the race because it was going to take those other shops too long to get it fixed. I don't get this problem at The Path, as they will take care of anybody's repairs in a timely manner.
And if they don't have your part in stock...NO PROBLEM! They'll get it ordered, or if possible, they'll just take if of another one of their bikes to get you rolling!
If this doesn't make you want to take a drive to Tustin to see what the hype's about, then check your pulse!!!
Ive seen the place from the inside, and it is covered to the ceiling in products that other bike shops dont have in stock. The service department is on top of their techs, and they are always having service clinincs to learn more and have a better understanding about the products they sell. They always special order just about anything and they have a lot of staff to help you with any questions you might have.
Shopping at The Path is always a blast. Even from across the globe. As a Norwegian (Scandinavian) customer I have nothing but the best to say about The Path. Great prices and superb service. The best little bike shop in socal! Phenominal selection and low prices. They can even rebuild your Mavic Crossmax hub (2001 and up) with a replacement bushing and ballbearing or a sealed inner ballbearing. Unheard of! Go see Tani.

The path has always done right by me. The staff is top of the line, and the service department is staffed by knowledgeable mechanics. They have consistantly low prices and a huge invintory.

these guys rock. my questions are always well answered no matter how amateur, lame or obvious. they help me make decisions based on how i ride and how i'd like to ride. if i'm not happy, they work to make me happy.

I must have at least 2 dozen bike shops that are closer to me, but nobody in the OC, or anywhere I've travelled in the west tops The Path.
The Path is where it's at. Top notch selection and even better - operated by folks who ride (very, very well). They're in touch with the sport and community, and deserve all the praise they get.
