UCC Café Plaza is the newest member of the UCC Coffee family of coffee shop concepts. Since opening its first coffee shop in 1958, UCC Coffee has been renowned in Asia for its premium, siphoned coffees and delicious Euro-Japanese fusion food like curries and pastas. With over 300 locations in 9 countries—Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Korea and China—the chain has now opened its first location outside of Asia in Walnut, CA.
Great coffee. Nice selection of Japanese/Western style cafe fare and desserts. Also check out the breakfast specials. The menu is especially popular with kids. Family friendly restaurant.
Nice place to chill while enjoying the great food and drink =)
I like their coffee
Really top quality coffee, but, has lots of selections for all price ranges!
Great place to meet friends over great cup of coffee and quality food.
Great service, great eats, great ambiance, and cheap prices... What's not to love?
Simply the best tasting coffee in Los Angeles.
Kids eat free program save us a lot.
UCC is just the cutest, little coffee shop ever! The decor is chic but totally comforting and welcoming at the same time--the ideal place to meet up with good friends for a long chat.
The gourmet coffee (brewed using the unique "siphon" process) is the fabulous UCC Japanese brand, with blends ranging from $3-a-cup sumiyaki blend to the whopping $15-a-cup Blue Mountain ones, etc. There are also a good variety of espresso drink offerings that I always find tasty AND tasteful--never overloaded with milk and sugar like certain other commercial coffee houses' espresso drinks. The presentation of the drinks is finely detailed porcelain cups (a unique design for each drink!) is an incredibly cute touch too.
If you're not a coffee fan, the creative Japanese-fusion cuisine is DELICIOUS--as in, not just cool because it's fusion, but actually full of rich, unique, skillfully layered flavors that you'd be hard-pressed to find at such friendly prices ($10 - $15 range). The desserts are first-class too, as are the delectable, never-too-oily breakfast offerings. And as if all that weren't enough, they have free high-speed wi-fi and excellent, friendly service. I really just can't say enough good things about UCC--they're the best!
They have a great selection of perfectly siphoned coffee, an eclectic menu of contemporary japanese food, great atmosphere and service!
