Orlando Garcia was born in Guines, Cuba. As a young man he worked in many well known and highly respected restaurants on the island. By the time he left Cuba in 1967, he was an accomplished chef.
In 1977 he opened his first restaurant in downtown Los Angeles, Mi Rinconcito (My Little Corner) where he developed his unique way of creating and serving traditional Cuban dishes. In 1979 he furthered his success by relocating to El Rincon Criollo (“The Native Corner”) in Culver City. There he perfected his own marinade sauce using his unique blend of spices which is now knows as the Versailles Mojo (marinade sauce).
Delicious!!! I love eating here with my family
I love the sauce that they put on the chicken.
They've been doing it right for years. Muy sabrosa!
I love Cuban food. This is almost as good as what my family would make. YUMM!
the only thing I get is the BBQ Chicken but it's the only BBQ chicken I ever get at any restaurant! Quick & good portions as well... but that chicken is the best!
yummy food and fast service
Love the food!!
Good food for the money
As a Puerto Rican coming from the NJ I know what cuban food should taste like. This misses the mark! If you want good authentic Cuban food go to El Cochinito on Sunset in Silverlake.
Great food! Family owned and operated, excellent atmosphere.
The best
always a winner - especially the one on sepulveda! mmmm, garlic chicken.
A chain. You can even find them in Miami.
Look, I'm Cuban. I'm from Miami. I know a thing or two about Cuban food. Versaille's is the best from coast to coast. I don't think the restaurants in Miami can even touch this place. The roast pork, fried pork chunks, garlic chicken are all to die for!!! I wish I could eat there every day, but my waistline would be in big trouble. I have been disappointed at most every other Cuban spot in LA or Miami. Try this once and you are hooked!
"Better than the restaurant in Miami, best in the country without a doubt! If you like pork, their pork roast or pork chunks are to die for! Just had the chunks last nite! Unbelievable! Fast service, good prices, this is the spot!"
Great garlic dishes. Garlis chicken and masitas de puerco.
Great food...at record speed!
Great
Great food!!!
Absolutely the most authentic Cuban Restaurant there is, with the most generous portions at reasonable prices. This is the one restaurant that can compare to my parents cooking, Fabulous! The garlic chicken is the best, same incredible taste at all their locations. Not intended for the person on a diet or a person looking for a quiet dining experience. In my opinion, go only if you want a "True Cuban Experience"
The food is always good, very good!
