Before Ernie & Lisa opened Vinatero, we were fairly intimidated about wine. Under their tutelage, we now know what we like and where to get it! How awesome it is to have a great wine shop so close to home. Better yet, it's just fun to hang out with them on a Saturday night with a great bottle of wine, a tasty cheese plate, and of course, the chocolate & port!!

We have been to Napa, Sonoma, Santa Ynez, Santa Barbara, Temecula and Eastern Australia for wine tasing and have to say having this warm, friendly wine bar in Whittier is wonderful. From the great selection of wines at the bar and in the store, to the down to earth owners, Eddie and Lisa, its a great place to hang out on a Friday evening.

I live 30 minutes away from Vinatero with 2 wine shops close to where I live, and my fiancé and I STILL trek to Vinatero for wine tasting. With the warm hosts and great (and affordable) boutique wines, who can ask for more?
