We started ZJ Boarding House in 1988 as a hole-in-the-wall surf shop on the corner of Ocean Park and Main Street in Santa Monica, California. From the day we opened our doors, we've been set on sharing our passion for surfing with the local community. Before long, skateboarding and snowboarding became welcome additions to our inventory, as well as our lifestyle. Over the years our store has grown in many ways. In addition to the obvious changes, like the Ladies Lounge next door and going online, we have, frankly, increased in numbers to also insure our quality customer service. It seems the only thing that hasn't changed is our enthusiasm for riding boards.

They are always friendly and when you walk in, they treat you like one of the family. I have always enjoyed going there when I am in town cause I always find what I need in one place, where I don't have to travel all over the city to find.
I worked there for a year and a half. Now I live in SD, From LA to SD there's no shop that compares to the friendly vibe, or service offered ad zj's.
They have amazing deals and the people are so cool.
